Lifton Strawberry Fields Farm Shop has now had their 8th anniversary of the opening of the shop back in 2002. They have not let the grass grow under their feet, and have grown into a thriving enterprise. The Mounce family has always been passionate about good home produced produce when they started growing strawberries back in 1992. Now their main aim is add value to their core farming activities. From the soft fruit, orchard, and vegetables are made jams, chutneys, and sold fresh.

The Wharf has been described as the Jewel of Tavistock - one of the most elegant towns in the South West. Located between the River Tavy and the Tavistock canal, the Wharf was built in the eighteenth century as a busy industrial centre, and was converted by the local council to its present form in 1995. Since then it has been privately run as an arts centre with theatre, concert hall, cinema and art gallery, with a unique waterside coffee shop and bar.
