We are in an ideal location for exploring both
Devon and Cornwall, being right on the border of both along the Tamar Valley.
Both North and South coast beaches are within 40 minutes drive and Dartmoor and
Bodmin Moor both very close,both offering excellent walking, cycling and horse
riding. The cities of Plymouth, Exeter and Truro are all within easy reach. St
Mellion Golf and Country Club is a 20 minute drive away.
Launceston (or
Lanson as it is known to locals) is the ancient capital of Cornwall and is now
a thriving market town with a good selection of shops and pubs. A norman castle
dominates the centre of the town with superb views from the top.There is a town
trail for visitors to follow which highlights the ancient architecture and
historical features.
There is plenty for families to do in the area
including the Launceston Steam Railway, Trethorne Leisure Farm and Hidden
Valley Adventure Park. There are a number of country pubs close by serving
local beer and excellent food.
Our bedrooms are well decorated and
provide everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Breakfast is served in the
guest dining room where there is also a fridge and microwave for guests to use. We offer a choice of breakfast menu and can cater for vegetarians. We have facilities available to dry waterproofs, walking boots
and wetsuits etc. Motorcyclists are more than welcome We have ample off road
parking and can also garage a couple of bikes overnight if needed.
